Ice-cream options

Hi!

One of the things I really like eating is ice-cream! However, I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance a few years ago.  So eventually I had to go from being able to eat ice-cream to not eat ice-cream.  If I eat ice-cream my stomach gets really upset and it will last for several hours.  I can’t eat anything afterwards either 😦 And no, taking lactase  doesn’t help either 😦 I only take lactase when I eat outside in case there are small traces of lactose in the food.

I had to start only getting sorbet which I can get pretty bored of quickly. However, there are now so many more options! Though I could also make my own ice-cream, hehe.

As long as its’ dairy-free I can eat it and I’m so happy that it’s easier to buy vegan ice-cream where I live! It’s also possible to buy lactosefree ice-cream. The only sad things is that most of the dairy-free ice-cream is made with almonds. I can eat almonds but I’m not a big fan of it.  But that’s better than eating reguar ice-cream and afterwards starve for the rest of the day.

I went to the USA for my summer holiday in 2019 and bought a vegan coconut strawberry ice-cream in San Diego!

It was very tasty!

I’m the only one in my family who has lactose intolerance so everyone else got regular ice-cream.

Italian ice is also pretty good:

Back home I usually get any flavour of sorbet

Lemon and passion fruit sorbet:

I’ve also tried the vegan ice-cream from Ben&Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie which is pretty good!

Bye!
